What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess the Invisible Preparation (IP) behaviors of middle and high school students involved in sports. It focuses on health behaviors such as sleep, nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, and mental well-being that young athletes adopt to enhance their performance. Participants will complete a questionnaire regarding these health behaviors throughout the year 2024, prior to their medical examinations at the Brest Metropolitan Area Sports Medicine Centre. The goal is to estimate the proportion of young athletes who engage in these beneficial practices.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are middle and high school students who are part of a sports institution.

Not a fit: Patients who are primary school students or those with significant mental or psychological disabilities may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved health and performance outcomes for young athletes by identifying effective health behaviors.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited literature on this specific approach, previous studies have indicated a lack of compliance among young athletes regarding health recommendations, suggesting a need for further exploration in this area.
