What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess how various perioperative factors influence postoperative outcomes in patients who have undergone lung transplantation. It will also explore the feasibility of using pulmonary ultrasound to detect complications such as atelectasis and pulmonary edema following the procedure. Additionally, the study will monitor changes in perioperative inflammation and immune markers in these patients to better understand their recovery process.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old who are undergoing lung transplantation.

Not a fit: Patients who are undergoing secondary lung transplantation or multiple organ transplantation may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved postoperative care and outcomes for lung transplant patients.

How similar studies have performed: While this study focuses on specific perioperative factors, similar observational studies have shown success in improving postoperative outcomes through careful monitoring and intervention.
