Evaluating blood vessel function in chronic kidney disease patients
Evaluation of Endothelial Dysfunction Using the "Flow Mediated Dilation" Test in a Population of Chronic Renal Failure Patients at Different Stages, and Evaluation of the Role of Antiphospholipid Antibodies - A Prospective Interventional Study.
This study tests how kidney disease affects blood vessel health in patients to see if certain toxins and antibodies play a role in their heart risks.

What this trial studies
This study assesses endothelial dysfunction in patients with chronic renal failure at various stages using the Flow Mediated Dilation test. It aims to understand the impact of uremic toxins on vascular health and the role of antiphospholipid antibodies in this population. The study involves urine and blood sampling to gather necessary data for analysis. By examining these factors, the research seeks to enhance our understanding of cardiovascular risks associated with chronic kidney disease.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients with chronic kidney disease stages G3a to G5 and healthy volunteers.
Not a fit: Patients with chronic kidney disease stage G5 who do not have available dosage information for antiphospholipid antibodies may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved management strategies for cardiovascular risks in chronic kidney disease patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in evaluating endothelial dysfunction in chronic kidney disease, making this approach both relevant and potentially impactful.
