What this trial studies

This study aims to assess the validity and reliability of the Turkish adaptation of the Comprehensive Coordination Scale in patients diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Participants will undergo a series of tests, including the Comprehensive Coordination Scale, 9-Hole Peg Test, Timed Up and Go Test, Berg Balance Scale, Functional Reaching Test, and Modified Hoehn and Yahr Scale. The reliability of the Comprehensive Coordination Scale will be evaluated through inter-rater and test-retest methods, with video recordings used for consistency checks. This observational study will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the scale in a Turkish population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease who have a Mini Mental State Examination score above 24 and no serious neurological or orthopedic issues in the past six months.

Not a fit: Patients with a Mini Mental State Examination score below 24 may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the assessment and management of coordination issues in Turkish-speaking Parkinson's patients.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific adaptation of the Comprehensive Coordination Scale is novel, similar studies assessing coordination in Parkinson's patients have shown promising results.
