What this trial studies

This study aims to assess the validity and reliability of the BETY-Biopsychosocial Questionnaire (BETY-BQ) as a tool for evaluating the biopsychosocial aspects of individuals receiving radiotherapy for cancer. It recognizes the importance of psychological, social, and functional factors in the treatment of chronic diseases, particularly in oncological rehabilitation. The BETY-BQ is based on the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach (CETA), which integrates various therapeutic techniques to support holistic treatment. Participants will be evaluated to determine how well this questionnaire captures the complexities of their experiences during radiotherapy.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18-70 who have been diagnosed with cancer and are currently receiving radiotherapy.

Not a fit: Patients who may not benefit from this study include those with neurological diseases affecting cognition or those with psychiatric diagnoses.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the quality of life assessments for cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy, leading to more tailored and effective treatment plans.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in using biopsychosocial models for assessing patient outcomes, indicating that this approach is promising and not entirely novel.
