What this trial studies

This study evaluates the validity and reliability of the Angle Meter, a mobile application designed to assess elbow joint position sense. Healthy participants aged 18-25 will have their elbow angles measured using both the app and a universal goniometer for comparison. Measurements will be taken at three different angles and repeated after three days to ensure consistency. The study aims to determine how accurately the app can replicate traditional measurement methods.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy individuals aged 18-25.

Not a fit: Patients with recent upper extremity surgery or those with neurological, orthopedic, rheumatic, or cardiovascular issues may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this app could provide a convenient and reliable tool for assessing elbow joint position sense in clinical settings.

How similar studies have performed: While the approach of using mobile applications for clinical assessments is gaining traction, the specific application being evaluated in this study is novel and has not been extensively tested.
