What this trial studies

This clinical trial investigates the impact of soft tissue mobilization combined with pelvic floor muscle exercises on women suffering from pelvic adhesions and post-hysterectomy pain. The study will involve 56 participants who will be randomly assigned to two groups: one receiving both treatments and the other receiving only soft tissue mobilization. The trial will last for 10 weeks, with assessments conducted using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale, Female Sexual Function Index, and Functional Status Questionnaire. Data will be analyzed using SPSS to determine the effectiveness of the interventions.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are married women aged 40-60 years with a BMI below 30 who have post-operative pelvic adhesions following a hysterectomy.

Not a fit: Patients who have undergone other surgeries, have unhealed surgical sites, or have uncontrolled medical conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a non-surgical treatment option for women experiencing chronic pain and functional impairment due to pelvic adhesions.

How similar studies have performed: While the approach of combining soft tissue mobilization with pelvic floor exercises is promising, there is limited data on similar studies, making this a potentially novel investigation.
