What this trial studies

This randomized controlled trial investigates the impact of a sand exercise program combined with towel curl exercises on foot posture and dynamic balance in children aged 6 to 11 years with pronated feet. The study will involve 20 participants divided into experimental and control groups, with the experimental group performing sand activities alongside towel curls three times a week for eight weeks. Assessments of foot posture, navicular drop, and balance will be conducted at baseline, 4 weeks, and 8 weeks using various standardized tests. The goal is to evaluate the effectiveness of sand training in improving foot health in affected children.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children aged 6 to 11 years with bilateral pronated feet and no recent foot injuries.

Not a fit: Patients with current foot pain, recent lower limb injuries, or congenital abnormalities may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could enhance foot posture and balance in children with pronated feet, potentially preventing long-term complications.

How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific combination of sand training and towel curls in children with pronated feet is relatively novel.
