What this trial studies

This observational study aims to investigate the impact of non-specific neck pain on upper extremity functions in female patients. It will assess various aspects of upper extremity performance, including hand skills, grip strength, reaction time, and overall strength and endurance. The study will involve female patients over the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with neck pain lasting more than 30 days and will evaluate how these functions relate to their health-related quality of life. Participants will be recruited from the Tarsus State Hospital Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are female patients over 18 years old with non-specific neck pain lasting more than 30 days.

Not a fit: Patients with serious spinal pathologies or previous orthopedic conditions affecting the spine may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of neck pain, enhancing the quality of life for affected women.

How similar studies have performed: While there are limited studies on this specific relationship, existing literature suggests that understanding upper extremity functions in neck pain patients is a promising area of research.
