What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of myofascial release and nerve flossing techniques in reducing pain and disability in patients suffering from lumbar radiculopathy. Participants aged 20-45 with low back pain radiating to the lower leg for at least two months will be randomly assigned to two groups: one receiving both techniques alongside conventional treatment, and the other receiving only nerve flossing with conventional treatment. The study will utilize a randomized controlled design, with assessments conducted before and after the treatment period using various pain and disability scales. The findings could provide insights into personalized treatment options for lumbar radiculopathy.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 20-45 experiencing low back pain radiating to the lower leg for at least two months.

Not a fit: Patients with lumbar spinal fractures, tumors, or systemic diseases such as diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved pain management and functional outcomes for patients with lumbar radiculopathy.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific combination of myofascial release and nerve flossing is less commonly studied, similar interventions have shown promise in managing radiculopathy symptoms.
