What this trial studies

This clinical trial investigates the combined effects of Maitland mobilization and McKenzie exercises on patients diagnosed with upper cross syndrome, a condition characterized by muscle imbalances in the neck region. The study will recruit participants aged 18-45 years who experience neck pain and will be divided into two groups for treatment. The trial aims to assess improvements in kinesiophobia and range of motion through a randomized control design conducted at Fauji Foundation Hospital. The findings could provide valuable insights into effective rehabilitation strategies for this prevalent condition.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18-45 years with a diagnosis of upper cross syndrome and moderate neck pain.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of cervical or upper limb fractures, spinal infections, or other significant medical conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved treatment protocols for neck pain and enhanced quality of life for patients with upper cross syndrome.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited literature on the combined effects of these specific interventions, similar approaches in manual therapy have shown promise in treating musculoskeletal conditions.
