What this trial studies

This study aims to evaluate the impact of a Healthy Beat Acupunch (HBA) exercise regimen on the physical fitness of older adults living in residential homes. Participants will be divided into an intervention group, which will engage in instructor-led HBA sessions three times a week for six months, and a control group that will continue their usual activities. The study will measure various fitness parameters, including aerobic endurance and strength, at baseline, three months, and six months to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. Informed consent will be obtained from participants, ensuring they understand the study's purpose and their rights.
