What this trial studies

This study evaluates how progressive relaxation exercises and music recitals impact sleep quality, emotional states, and overall quality of life in children aged 9-16 with epilepsy. Conducted as a randomized controlled trial, it involves three groups: one receiving progressive relaxation exercises, another participating in music recitals, and a control group. Data will be collected through various questionnaires administered to both the children and their mothers before and after the interventions, which will occur five days a week for four weeks. The goal is to determine the effectiveness of these interventions in improving the well-being of children with epilepsy.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are children aged 9-16 with epilepsy who do not have other chronic or genetic diseases and are willing to participate.

Not a fit: Patients with additional chronic or genetic diseases, or those with mental, visual, or hearing impairments may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide non-pharmacological interventions to enhance sleep quality and emotional health in children with epilepsy.

How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific combination of exercise and music for children with epilepsy is relatively novel.
