What this trial studies
This study investigates the effectiveness of connective tissue massage (CTM) compared to self myofascial release techniques in patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). A total of at least 30 female participants aged 18-65 will be enrolled, and they will undergo treatments for 6 weeks, with sessions held twice a week. The study will evaluate outcomes such as pain levels, quality of life, and sleep quality using the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire. The CTM will be administered to the study group, while the control group will use foam rollers for self-myofascial release.

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 18-65 who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
Not a fit: Patients with neurological, infectious, endocrine, or inflammatory rheumatic diseases, severe psychological disorders, or those who are pregnant will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a non-invasive treatment option to alleviate symptoms of fibromyalgia and improve patients' quality of life.
