What this trial studies
This study investigates the impact of combining aerobic exercises with yoga-based exercises on patients with axial spondyloarthritis (AxSpA). A total of 60 patients will be randomly assigned to two groups: one receiving only aerobic exercise and the other receiving both aerobic and yoga exercises. The interventions will include a structured exercise program over 12 sessions, with assessments of spinal mobility, disease activity, and aerobic capacity conducted before and after the treatment. Various clinical measurements will be utilized to evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients diagnosed with axial spondyloarthritis who are in a stable health condition but experience fatigue, dyspnea, and difficulties in daily activities.
Not a fit: Patients with unstable cardiac or pulmonary conditions, or those with neurological or psychological disorders may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve mobility and quality of life for patients with axial spondyloarthritis.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with exercise interventions in similar patient populations, suggesting potential for success in this approach.
