What this trial studies

This study investigates the impact of the Integrated Neuromuscular Inhibition Technique on cervical proprioception in patients suffering from Forward Head Posture. Conducted as a randomized control trial at Riphah International University, the research involves 42 participants aged 18 to 40 years with specific inclusion criteria related to neck pain and craniovertebral angle measurements. Participants are divided into two groups, receiving either the neuromuscular technique or posture corrective exercises over a six-month period, with data collected at multiple intervals to assess changes in neck function and proprioception. The study employs various tools for measurement and analysis, including inclinometer and software for data processing.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are males and females aged 18 to 40 years with a craniovertebral angle less than 50 degrees and chronic neck pain.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of cervical or facial trauma, congenital spine anomalies, or central nervous system disorders may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve neck function and reduce pain for patients with Forward Head Posture.

How similar studies have performed: While similar techniques have been explored, this specific application of Integrated Neuromuscular Inhibition Technique for Forward Head Posture is relatively novel.
