What this trial studies
This study investigates the impact of a new male supplement on sperm quality in men diagnosed with poor sperm quality. Fifty participants will receive the supplement for three months, after which their semen will be analyzed to assess changes in sperm quality, mitochondrial function, and sexual function. The study also aims to evaluate symptoms of aging using standardized scales before and after the treatment period. By focusing on the relationship between supplementation and sperm health, this research addresses a growing concern related to male fertility.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are men with poor sperm quality who do not meet the WHO criteria for normal semen analysis and have a BMI between 18-30 kg/m2.
Not a fit: Patients with azoospermia, varicocele, chromosome anomalies, malignancies, or those using hormone therapy or supplements in the past three months may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve sperm quality and overall reproductive health in men with fertility issues.
How similar studies have performed: While various supplements have been tested for improving sperm quality, this specific approach is novel and has not been extensively studied.
