Effect of Myofascial Release Exercises on Shoulder Function in Breast Cancer Patients Receiving Radiotherapy
The Effect of Myofascial Release Exercises on Viscoelastic Changes of the Pectoralis Major Muscle

What this trial studies
This study investigates the impact of myofascial release exercises on the pectoralis major muscle's viscoelastic properties, pain levels, range of motion, and shoulder functionality in individuals undergoing adjuvant radiotherapy after breast cancer surgery. Participants will engage in these exercises alongside a home exercise program to address treatment-related side effects. The study aims to provide insights into how these exercises can alleviate discomfort and improve mobility in this patient population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals diagnosed with stage I-III breast cancer who have undergone surgery and are about to start radiotherapy.
Not a fit: Patients with previous breast surgery on the same side, metastatic cancer, or significant neurological or orthopedic issues may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance shoulder functionality and reduce pain for breast cancer survivors undergoing radiotherapy.
How similar studies have performed: While myofascial release exercises have been explored in other contexts, this specific application in breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy is novel and has not been extensively studied.

Exclusion Criteria: * Previous breast clamp surgery on the same side or contralateral side, * With a metastatic cancer focus, * Post-surgical resistance, infection and open wound, pacemaker, * Patients with a Mini Mental State Examination test score of less than 21 will be excluded from the study.
