What this trial studies

This investigation explores the effectiveness of craniosacral therapy (CST) as a complementary treatment for patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The study aims to assess how CST, a manual therapy that manipulates the craniosacral system, can influence various neurological symptoms associated with MS. Participants will receive CST in addition to conventional physiotherapy, with the goal of improving their overall quality of life and symptom management. The study will include adults aged 18 to 65 with a confirmed diagnosis of MS and specific eligibility criteria.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 to 65 with a definitive diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and an EDSS score between 1-5.5.

Not a fit: Patients with other neurological diseases, recent MS attacks, or severe comorbid conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide patients with a novel, non-pharmacological option to alleviate symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.

How similar studies have performed: While craniosacral therapy has shown promise in treating various neurological conditions, this specific application for Multiple Sclerosis is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
