What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate whether a mobility platform can enhance cognitive development and improve reaction times in children diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a control group, which continues with standard therapy, or an intervention group that utilizes the mobility platform during therapy sessions. The study will involve eight weekly sessions, each lasting 30 minutes, where therapists will assess changes in mood and emotional state using the Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) tests. The goal is to determine if the mobility platform can lead to significant improvements compared to traditional therapy.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are children under 12 years old diagnosed with cerebral palsy classified as GMFCS level IV or higher.

Not a fit: Patients who are unable to operate an actuator or start button will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly enhance cognitive development and emotional well-being in children with severe disabilities.

How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific intervention using a mobility platform is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
