What this trial studies

This intervention focuses on women diagnosed with cervical cancer who are undergoing uterovaginal brachytherapy, a treatment that requires prolonged bed rest and can lead to increased stress and anxiety. The study aims to implement a Kine-Yoga program to help alleviate perceived stress levels during and after treatment. Participants will engage in yoga sessions designed to improve physical and mental well-being while managing the side effects of their cancer treatment. The program is tailored for women who experience significant stress during their treatment process.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 18 and older who have been histologically diagnosed with cervical cancer and are experiencing moderate to high levels of stress.

Not a fit: Patients who cannot participate in yoga due to physical limitations or those who do not speak French may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly reduce stress levels in women undergoing brachytherapy for cervical cancer, improving their overall treatment experience.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have indicated that non-pharmacological interventions like yoga can effectively reduce stress in cancer patients, suggesting potential success for this approach.
