What this trial studies

This study evaluates how education on carbon footprint affects breastfeeding practices among pregnant women. Participants are divided into two groups: one receiving four 60-minute educational sessions on sustainable nutrition, while the control group receives standard hospital care. Data is collected through face-to-face interviews and demographic questionnaires to assess the impact of the educational intervention on breastfeeding behaviors. The study aims to understand the relationship between awareness of sustainable practices and breastfeeding outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are pregnant women aged 18 to 35 who are at least 24 weeks gestation.

Not a fit: Patients with significant medical conditions affecting breastfeeding or nutrition, multiple pregnancies, or those with unstable living conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance breastfeeding practices by promoting sustainable nutrition awareness among new mothers.

How similar studies have performed: While the approach of integrating sustainability education into breastfeeding practices is relatively novel, similar educational interventions have shown promise in improving health behaviors.
