What this trial studies

The DietCoach study investigates the requirements for a digital dietary counseling platform and evaluates its acceptance and usability among dietitians. It focuses on how varying levels of patient food purchase data influence these factors. The platform automatically tracks patient food purchases and provides nutritional analysis to assist dietitians in their counseling efforts. Dietitians from several hospitals in the German-speaking area of Switzerland will participate in workshops and surveys to provide feedback on the platform's usability.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are dietitians working in Switzerland who are fluent in German.

Not a fit: Patients who do not have access to loyalty cards or food purchase data may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this platform could enhance dietary counseling by providing dietitians with valuable insights from patient food purchase data.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on digital dietary counseling, the specific integration of food purchase data in this manner is relatively novel.
