What this trial studies
This study aims to improve access to mental health care for adolescents aged 11 to 18 who have dropped out of care. It utilizes a digital application that offers tele-consultations, chat support with mental health professionals, and peer forums to facilitate engagement. The primary goal is to assess how well adolescents accept and use this digital tool over a six-month period. The application is supported by a mobile team to provide additional assistance and ensure comprehensive care.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adolescents aged 11 to 18 who are experiencing mental suffering but are not currently receiving therapeutic care.
Not a fit: Patients with severe motor disabilities, significant cognitive impairments, or those who have withdrawn from care without deterioration in their mental state may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance access to mental health services for adolescents, reducing dropout rates and improving overall mental health outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using digital tools for mental health support, indicating that this approach could be effective, though it may also present novel challenges.
