What this trial studies

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an anti-inflammatory dietary intervention in reducing disease activity in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Participants will be randomly assigned to either the dietary intervention group or a control group, with their disease activity monitored through various assessments, including the Disease Activity Score (DAS-28). The study will involve five on-site visits where participants will undergo medical evaluations, nutrition education, and follow-up consultations. The goal is to determine if dietary changes can lead to significant improvements in RA symptoms and medication usage.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old diagnosed with either seropositive or seronegative rheumatoid arthritis who exhibit low, moderate, or high disease activity.

Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old or those with a history of eating disorders may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could provide a non-pharmacological approach to managing rheumatoid arthritis symptoms and improving patients' quality of life.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with dietary interventions in managing inflammatory conditions, suggesting potential success for this approach.
