Database of advanced lung cancer patients with specific EGFR mutations in Asia
A Pan-Asian Clinical Database of EGFR Exon 20 Insertion Mutated Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
This study is gathering information from around 600 patients with advanced lung cancer and specific EGFR mutations in Asia to see how these mutations affect their treatment outcomes.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to gather comprehensive data on the epidemiology and clinical outcomes of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations across various Asian countries. By enrolling approximately 600 patients from 20-30 sites, including major hospitals in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand, the study seeks to understand how the specific location of the mutation may affect responses to targeted therapies. The data collected will help fill the existing knowledge gap regarding this specific mutation in the Asian population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults with histologically confirmed advanced NSCLC who have tested positive for EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations.
Not a fit: Patients without an EGFR exon 20 insertion mutation will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of advanced NSCLC patients with EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations, potentially enhancing treatment outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited data on this specific mutation in Asia, similar studies on other EGFR mutations have shown promising results, indicating potential for success in this novel approach.
