Database investigation of endovascular therapy for acute ischemic stroke

Investigation and Study on the Status of Endovascular Therapy in Acute Ischemic Stroke

Second Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University · NCT03909438

What this trial studies

This observational study aims to create a comprehensive database for patients with acute ischemic stroke who undergo endovascular therapy. It will analyze the effectiveness, safety, and cost-effectiveness of this treatment approach in China. The study will enroll at least 1,000 patients across 70 centers, collecting data on various clinical factors and outcomes. The primary endpoints include the proportion of patients with good prognosis after 90 days and the incidence of intracranial hemorrhage transformation within 24 hours.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with clinical signs of acute ischemic stroke and specific imaging criteria.

Not a fit: Patients with large cerebral infarctions, severe glucose abnormalities, or other serious illnesses may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding and application of endovascular therapy for acute ischemic stroke, potentially improving patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results with endovascular therapy for acute ischemic stroke, indicating a potential for success in this approach.
