What this trial studies

This project aims to create a comprehensive database of congenital lung anomalies by pooling cases from various Swiss medical centers. It will register clinical, biological, radiological, and histological data in a secure, multicentric database. The study involves a multidisciplinary team of specialists and aims to improve understanding of these rare conditions, their evolution, and potential biomarkers. Additionally, a tissue biobank will be established to support future research and treatment development.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are all patients diagnosed with congenital lung anomalies.

Not a fit: Patients without a diagnosis of congenital lung anomalies will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved treatment protocols and innovative therapies for patients with congenital lung anomalies.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is novel in the context of a Swiss database, similar studies have shown success in pooling data for rare conditions to improve understanding and treatment.
