What this trial studies
This study focuses on translating and validating the Anterior Knee Pain Scale (Kujala) into Danish to ensure its reliability and cross-cultural applicability for assessing patients with patellofemoral disorders. The Kujala questionnaire is a widely recognized patient-reported outcome measure that has been utilized internationally, but it has not yet been adapted for Danish speakers. By conducting this observational study, researchers aim to enhance the accuracy of knee pain assessments in Denmark, ultimately leading to better patient care. The study will involve Danish-speaking individuals who have undergone MPFL reconstruction.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are Danish-speaking adults who have undergone MPFL reconstruction.
Not a fit: Patients who do not speak Danish or have not undergone MPFL reconstruction may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a validated tool for more accurate assessment of knee pain in Danish-speaking patients, leading to improved treatment outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully translated and validated the Kujala questionnaire in various languages, indicating a strong precedent for this approach.
