What this trial studies
This observational study aims to establish a large cohort of patients diagnosed with primary Sjögren's syndrome. It will collect multi-omics data to develop models for disease diagnosis and prognosis prediction. By integrating traditional Chinese medicine with Western medical approaches, the study seeks to enhance understanding and management of this condition. The research will involve collaboration among several prominent hospitals in Beijing.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals who meet the classification criteria for primary Sjögren's syndrome.
Not a fit: Patients with comorbid connective tissue diseases or severe health conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic and prognostic tools for patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome.
How similar studies have performed: While the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is a novel approach, similar studies have shown promise in enhancing patient outcomes in other conditions.
