What this trial studies
This decentralized, remotely administered study uses the Neuphoria wearable to capture real-time EEG brainwave activity and deliver personalized neurofeedback training. Participants follow guided mindfulness and meditation protocols while the device provides data-driven insights and individualized recommendations to train focus, creativity, and flow states. Outcomes include standardized questionnaires (Perceived Stress Scale, Freiburg Mindfulness Inventory) and device-derived cognitive and state metrics to quantify changes over time. The protocol targets U.S. adults who can read English and excludes individuals with severe mental health disorders or without access to emergency care or social support.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are U.S.-based adults who can read English, have access to emergency care and social support, are open to digital monitoring, and do not have severe mental health disorders.
Not a fit: People with severe mental illness, low frustration tolerance, no access to emergency care or social support, those in regulated professions who cannot participate, or those unwilling to be digitally monitored are unlikely to benefit.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the intervention could help people reduce perceived stress, enhance focus and creativity, and provide personalized, actionable brain-training feedback for better mental well-being.
How similar studies have performed: Previous neurofeedback research has shown mixed but promising effects on attention and stress regulation, but the use of Neuphoria with Monroe to target 'higher consciousness' is largely novel.
