What this trial studies
This study involves children aged 9-17 who play underwater rugby and assesses their core stabilization, respiratory function, and quality of life. Participants will undergo various tests, including respiratory function assessments with a portable spirometer and muscle endurance evaluations through specific physical tests. The goal is to analyze the impact of core stabilization training on these young athletes' overall health and performance.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are children aged 9-17 who actively participate in underwater rugby and have no significant mental or physical health issues.
Not a fit: Patients with respiratory diseases, severe postural alignment issues, or orthopedic and neurological problems may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the physical performance and quality of life for young athletes involved in underwater rugby.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies focusing on core stabilization and athletic performance exist, this specific approach in the context of underwater rugby is relatively novel.
