Comprehensive health checks for medical residents at AP‑HP hospitals
HEalthCAre Workers' Health: a Transversal Evaluation

What this trial studies
The occupational health services at seven AP‑HP sites will run a pilot program offering each resident a systematic consultation and questionnaire every six months for one year, beginning November 2025. The intake covers physical health, signs of anxiety, depression, eating or substance problems, sexual health, quality of dental and gynecological care, and knowledge of workplace infectious risk prevention. Data will be collected pseudonymously across sites to build a clearer picture of residents' overall health status. The primary aim is to describe the overall health of interns on the seven sites and the secondary aim is to formalize the content of an occupational health visit tailored to this vulnerable population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Eligible participants are medical residents rotating at the seven named AP‑HP sites who agree to pseudonymous data collection and are not in excluded rotation categories.
Not a fit: Residents who object to pseudonymous data collection, are on excluded inter-hospital rotations, are part of the armed forces health contingent, or who have already undergone the evaluation during the analysis period may not receive benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the program could improve early detection and targeted support for physical and mental health problems among medical residents.
How similar studies have performed: Similar occupational health screenings have identified unmet health needs among healthcare workers, but systematic twice‑yearly resident-focused programs like this are largely novel.
