What this trial studies
This project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a Complete Lifestyle Medicine Intervention Program (CLIP) for adults with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. Participants will engage in a hybrid format, attending weekly lectures on lifestyle medicine pillars for 16 weeks, followed by an 8-week exercise program. The study will involve a total of 40 participants, with a focus on providing equal access through virtual and in-person options. Participants will be assessed using validated surveys to measure changes in health outcomes before and after the intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, dyslipidemia, or excess weight (BMI ≥ 25).
Not a fit: Healthy individuals without chronic diseases may not receive any benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the management of chronic diseases and enhance overall patient well-being.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with similar lifestyle medicine interventions, suggesting potential for success in this approach.
