Comparing Virtual Reality and Kinetic Exercises for Knee Osteoarthritis
Comparative Effect of Non Immersive Virtual Reality Based Training (Xbox Kinect) and Kinetic Chain Exercises in Patient With Knee Osteoarthritis.

What this trial studies
This study aims to compare the effectiveness of non-immersive virtual reality training using Xbox Kinect and traditional kinetic chain exercises in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Conducted as a randomized control trial over 8 weeks, participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two intervention groups. The study will assess outcomes such as pain, range of motion, function, and disability using various measurement tools. The goal is to identify the most effective rehabilitation strategy to improve patient outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 50 or older with a diagnosis of Grade II knee osteoarthritis and moderate knee pain.
Not a fit: Patients with severe comorbidities or cognitive impairments that limit their ability to engage in physical activity may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a more effective rehabilitation option for patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis.
How similar studies have performed: While previous studies have explored the effectiveness of virtual reality and kinetic exercises separately, this study is novel in directly comparing these two interventions.
