What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Vestibular Rehabilitation Exercises (VRE) versus General Fitness Training (GFT) in adults with vestibular disorders. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the VRE or GFT group and will engage in 60-minute exercise sessions twice a week for 8 weeks. The study will assess improvements in gaze stabilization, balance, and gait for VRE, as well as overall fitness improvements for GFT, to determine which intervention is more beneficial.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 60 with a confirmed diagnosis of a vestibular disorder who can walk unassisted.

Not a fit: Patients with severe cardiovascular, respiratory, or metabolic diseases, or those with neuromuscular disorders affecting balance may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide targeted exercise interventions that significantly improve balance and mobility for individuals with vestibular disorders.

How similar studies have performed: While there is existing research on vestibular rehabilitation, this specific comparison of VRE and GFT is novel and has not been extensively tested.
