Comparing two types of grafts for bone loss around dental implants
Grafting of the Peri-implant Bony Defects Around Immediate Implants Using Xenogenic Versus Alloplastic Sticky Grafts: Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial
This study is testing whether a new type of graft made from synthetic materials works as well as traditional grafts from animal sources for filling gaps around dental implants in people who need to replace a tooth.

What this trial studies
This clinical trial investigates the effectiveness of alloplastic sticky grafts versus xenogenic sticky grafts in filling the peri-implant buccal gap in patients with a single non-restorable tooth. The study focuses on patients who require immediate dental implants and aims to assess whether the use of alloplastic materials can yield results comparable to traditional xenogenic grafts. By augmenting the buccal gap, the trial seeks to minimize bone resorption and soft tissue recession, which are critical for aesthetic outcomes. The trial will involve patients aged 20-50 who meet specific health criteria and have teeth in the aesthetic zone that need extraction.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy adults aged 20-50 with a single non-restorable tooth in the aesthetic zone requiring extraction.
Not a fit: Patients who are pregnant, smokers, or have poor oral hygiene may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a less invasive and more effective option for bone augmentation around dental implants, improving aesthetic outcomes for patients.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results with both xenogenic and alloplastic grafts, but this specific comparison is novel.
Eligibility criteria
