What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effects of Senobi exercises versus Jacobsons muscular relaxation exercises on pulmonary functions, dyspnea, and sleep quality in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It involves a randomized design with 40 participants who will be divided into two groups, each receiving one type of exercise along with standard COPD treatment. Assessments will include spirometry for lung function, a 6-minute walk test for dyspnea, and the SATED sleep questionnaire for sleep quality, with evaluations conducted after 6 weeks of intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 35-50 years with a diagnosis of moderate to severe COPD (stage 2-3).
Not a fit: Patients with neurological disorders or other pulmonary complications may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide new exercise-based interventions to improve lung function and quality of life for COPD patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with exercise interventions in COPD, suggesting potential for success in this approach.
