What this trial studies

This study compares the effectiveness of Facet Oscillatory Mobilization and Mobilization with Movement in managing chronic mechanical neck pain. It is designed as a randomized controlled trial involving 32 participants who will receive one of the two mobilization techniques alongside conventional physical therapy. The study will assess outcomes such as pain levels, range of motion, and disability over a two-week intervention period, with follow-up evaluations conducted one month later. Key measures include the Numeric Pain Rating Scale, Neck Disability Index, and Inclinometer readings.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 35-45 with chronic mechanical neck pain lasting more than six weeks and specific disability and pain scores.

Not a fit: Patients with conditions such as cervical radiculopathy, severe neurological disorders, or those who have undergone previous cervical surgery may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide effective non-surgical treatment options for patients suffering from chronic mechanical neck pain.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on mobilization techniques for neck pain, the specific comparison of these two methods in this context is relatively novel.
