What this trial studies

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of two different home exercise programs for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). One program is the Standard of Care, which focuses on aerobic conditioning and calisthenics, while the other is a Task Specific Program designed to enhance mobility. Participants will be assessed on their mobility improvements and the tolerability of each program. The study will involve outpatient evaluations and is designed to determine which exercise approach is more beneficial for those living with MS.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 to 75 with a definitive diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis who can walk unassisted for at least 30 seconds.

Not a fit: Patients who have recently experienced an MS exacerbation or have other conditions that prevent participation in physical therapy may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more effective exercise programs that significantly improve mobility for patients with Multiple Sclerosis.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have indicated that tailored exercise programs can benefit individuals with MS, suggesting that this approach may yield positive results.
