Comparing trunk extensor training and scapular mobilization for thoracic kyphosis
Comparison of Trunk Extensor Endurance Training Versus Scapular Mobilization in Patient With Thoracic Kyphosis.
This study is testing whether trunk exercises or shoulder movements can help young adults with bad posture and back pain feel better and move more easily.

What this trial studies
This study aims to compare the effects of trunk extensor endurance training and scapular mobilization on thoracic pain, kyphotic angle, and shoulder range of motion in patients with thoracic kyphosis. Participants will undergo either intervention to assess improvements in their condition. The study focuses on individuals aged 20-40 with postural kyphosis and significant thoracic pain. The outcomes will help determine which approach is more effective in managing symptoms associated with thoracic kyphosis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are males and females aged 20-40 with postural kyphosis and a kyphotic angle exceeding 40°.
Not a fit: Patients with structural abnormalities, previous spinal surgeries, or other significant medical conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide patients with effective non-surgical treatment options for managing thoracic kyphosis and associated pain.
How similar studies have performed: While the specific interventions may be novel, similar studies have shown promise in improving outcomes for patients with postural kyphosis.
