What this trial studies

This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of different conservative treatment options for erectile dysfunction, specifically focusing on extracorporeal shockwave therapy and radiofrequency therapy. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: a treatment group receiving the active therapies, a sham group, or a control group. The study involves comprehensive assessments including questionnaires on erectile function and quality of life, as well as physical evaluations and Doppler ultrasonography to measure penile response. The aim is to determine the most effective non-invasive treatment for erectile dysfunction.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are men aged 30-80 who report experiencing erectile dysfunction.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of neurological diseases, diabetes, Peyronie's disease, psychiatric illness, prostatectomy, anatomical malformations in the genital region, or those using penile prostheses may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide patients with effective non-invasive treatment options for erectile dysfunction.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with similar non-invasive treatment approaches for erectile dysfunction, indicating potential for success in this trial.
