What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of the Thrower's Ten exercise program against routine physical therapy in alleviating pain, improving range of motion, and reducing functional disability in patients diagnosed with shoulder impingement syndrome. A total of 46 patients aged 18-35 will be randomly assigned to either the Thrower's Ten group or the routine physical therapy group. The study will take place at Ibne Sina Hospital in Multan and will last for nine months, with outcomes measured using standardized assessments. Data analysis will be performed using SPSS software to determine the efficacy of each intervention.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18-35 who have experienced shoulder or neck pain within the last six months and meet specific clinical test criteria.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of shoulder surgery, fractures, neurological disorders, systemic arthritic conditions, or cervical spine disorders may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a more effective rehabilitation approach for patients suffering from shoulder impingement syndrome.

How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific comparison of Thrower's Ten and routine physical therapy in this demographic is relatively novel.
