What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy program called 'Smiling is Fun' for individuals with depression in a primary care setting. It will compare the outcomes of participants receiving professional telephone support against those who will self-guide through the program. The research will focus on adherence rates and the implementation process of the program, addressing barriers to accessing mental health care. By utilizing a randomized controlled trial design, the study seeks to provide insights into how to improve access to psychological interventions.
