What this trial studies
This study aims to compare the clinical outcomes of women with endometrial cancer who underwent different surgical treatments: robotic-assisted laparoscopy, traditional laparoscopy, and laparotomy. By reviewing medical records from patients treated between January 2008 and November 2022, the study will analyze the effectiveness and prognosis associated with each surgical method. The observational approach allows for a comprehensive assessment of real-world outcomes without direct intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women diagnosed with uterine-confined endometrial cancer who have undergone one of the specified surgical methods.
Not a fit: Patients who did not undergo surgery for endometrial cancer will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help identify the most effective surgical approach for treating endometrial cancer, leading to improved patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have explored surgical methods for endometrial cancer, but this specific comparison of robotic-assisted versus traditional techniques is less common.
