This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effects of sprint interval training (SIT) versus Arabic exercises on women diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The study will involve a randomized design with participants divided into two groups, where one group will engage in SIT while the other will perform Arabic exercises. The primary focus is on assessing changes in body mass index (BMI) and overall metabolic and reproductive health over a period of seven months. The trial will take place at Jinnah Hospital Lahore and associated gyms, targeting young women aged 18 to 35 with specific inclusion criteria related to PCOS symptoms.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are unmarried women aged 18 to 35 with a diagnosis of PCOS and a BMI of 25 kg/m2 or higher.
Not a fit: Patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, androgen-secreting tumors, or other significant systemic illnesses may not benefit from this study.
