What this trial studies
This observational study aims to compare patient satisfaction between two methods of aesthetic breast augmentation: breast implants and autograft of adipose tissue. It focuses on women who underwent primary breast augmentation at Strasbourg University Hospital from June 2017 to June 2022. The study will evaluate satisfaction levels using the BREAST-Q questionnaire, which assesses quality of life and satisfaction with breast aesthetics. By analyzing these two approaches, the study seeks to provide insights into patient preferences and outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adult women aged 18 and older who have undergone primary aesthetic breast augmentation at the specified hospital.
Not a fit: Patients with significant breast malformations or those who do not consent to the reuse of their data for research will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help patients make informed decisions about breast augmentation options based on satisfaction outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While there is increasing interest in autograft techniques, few studies have directly compared patient satisfaction between breast implants and fat grafting, making this approach relatively novel.
