What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Laura Mitchell's relaxation technique versus Papworth exercise in improving symptoms such as dyspnea, fatigue, and sleep quality in patients with asthma. It focuses on nonpharmacological interventions to enhance cardiorespiratory fitness and reduce reliance on medication. Participants aged 20-45 years, diagnosed with asthma, will be recruited to assess the comparative benefits of these two approaches. The study aims to provide insights into alternative therapies for asthma management.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 20-45 years with a diagnosis of asthma who have not smoked for at least one year.

Not a fit: Patients with a recent history of acute asthmatic attacks or those who are hemodynamically unstable may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could offer effective non-drug therapies to improve quality of life for asthma patients.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using nonpharmacological interventions for asthma, suggesting potential success for this approach.
