What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of positional release techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in treating patients with chronic non-specific low back pain. It is designed as a pretest-posttest randomized controlled trial involving sixty participants aged 25 to 45. Patients will be randomly assigned to receive either positional release therapy, CBT, or conventional therapy, and their outcomes will be measured to determine which approach is more effective. The study seeks to provide insights into the best therapeutic options for managing chronic low back pain.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 25 to 45 with chronic non-specific low back pain and a cognitive score of 23 or above.
Not a fit: Patients with specific lumbar conditions such as stenosis, discogenic lesions, or those with cognitive and emotional disturbances may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide patients with more effective treatment options for managing chronic low back pain.
How similar studies have performed: While the specific comparison of positional release techniques and CBT is novel, both therapies have shown promise in treating chronic pain in other studies.
