What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Mulligan Bent Leg Raise technique, both with and without the Bowen therapy, in reducing hamstring tightness among asymptomatic adults. A total of 50 participants aged 18-40 will be randomly assigned to two groups, with one group receiving the combined treatment and the other receiving only the Mulligan technique. The intervention will consist of three alternate sessions, with specific repetitions and holds for each technique. The study will be conducted at Riphah Rehabilitation Center and Physiogic Physiotherapy Clinic in Lahore, Punjab.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are asymptomatic adults aged 18-40 with unilateral limitation of straight leg raise less than 75 degrees.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of lower limb fractures, soft tissue injuries, chronic back pain, or spinal deformities may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a new approach to alleviating hamstring tightness, potentially improving posture and musculoskeletal function in asymptomatic individuals.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific combination of Mulligan Bent Leg Raise and Bowen therapy is novel, similar techniques have shown promise in addressing musculoskeletal issues in other studies.
